Superhot Pepper Seeds From Growers Who Actually Grow Them
Most seed sellers resell packets they’ve never planted. Every variety here comes from plants we grew in our own high tunnels at Harmony Springs Farm in Blountville, Tennessee. We pick the pods, save the seeds and pack them ourselves. If it’s on this page, it grew here.
Our Hottest Varieties
For extreme heat, start with the Carolina Reaper, the Chocolate Reaper and our farm-original Death by Chocolate. Scorpion fans should look at BTR (Butch T × Reaper), Chocolate Congo Scorpion and the oversized Giant White Scorpion. For something that looks as mean as it tastes, try the Tiberius Maulers or the blistered Fried Chicken pepper. Want flavor with your fire? Try Fatalii and Lemon Habanero for citrus, or Pumpkin Spice Jalapeño for one of the hottest jalapeños around.
Growing Superhots From Seed
Superhot seeds are slow and need heat. Keep the soil at 80–90°F and expect sprouts in 14–28 days. Some varieties take longer, so don’t give up early. Start seeds 8–10 weeks before your last frost, give the seedlings strong light, and transplant once nights stay above 55°F. Most superhots need 100–120 days from transplant to ripe pods.
