Why Fresh Superhot Peppers for Sale Beat Everything Else Online
Get fresh Carolina Reaper peppers shipped same-day from our Tennessee farm
Fresh superhot peppers for sale — 30+ Capsicum chinense varieties grown in our Tennessee high tunnel and shipped the same day they are cut. Not the next day. Not after a distribution center stop. The same day. When you order fresh superhot peppers from Harmony Springs Farm, you are getting pods that were on the plant hours ago.
That matters more than most people realize. Capsaicinoids — the active heat compounds that make a Carolina Reaper or Primotalii what it is — are at peak concentration at ripeness and begin degrading the moment you harvest. Research documents measurable capsaicin loss within days of picking under ambient storage conditions. A pepper that sat in a warehouse for two weeks before it reached you is a different pepper than one that shipped the morning it was picked. Not different in name. Different in heat, flavor, and everything that makes a superhot worth eating.
Beyond heat, fresh pods carry volatile aromatic compounds responsible for the fruity, floral, and smoky flavor notes that disappear almost entirely during drying and processing. The tropical fruit note of a fresh Jay's Peach Ghost
Scorpion. The deep chocolate-and-smoke complexity of a fresh Death by Chocolate. These profiles exist in the fresh pod and almost nowhere else. If you have only ever experienced superhots through hot sauce or powder, fresh
pods will change your reference point entirely.

What We Grow: 2026 Fresh Pepper Lineup
We grow more than 30 varieties of Capsicum chinense in our Tennessee high
tunnel. These our some of our favorites for the 2026 season:
Carolina Reaper — Guinness-certified at 1,641,183 SHU average, former world record holder (2013–2023). Tropical fruit and cinnamon flavor in the seconds before the burn takes over. The most requested variety we grow. Order fresh Carolina Reaper peppers in ½ lb or 3 lb harvest boxes — join the notify list before first-drop batches sell out.
Tiberius Mauler — A Harmony Springs favorite. Triple-stacked genetics — JPGS x 7 Pot Primo x a third confirmed parent — with a four-stage burn profile and a pronounced fruity top note. One of only a handful of commercial
sources offering fresh Tiberius Mauler pods with a same-day harvest protocol. Order fresh Tiberius Mauler peppers in Red, Peach, Caramel, or mixed ½ lb boxes — one of the only commercial sources shipping same-day.
Primotalii — Community-estimated at 1,600,000 to 2,200,000 SHU. Associated with UK grower Chris Saunders, believed to be a 7 Pot Primo x Fatalii cross. Johnny Scoville has called it the hottest pepper he has ever eaten. The needle stinger tail is its signature. Limited availability each harvest. Fresh Primotalii peppers for sale in ½ lb and 3 lb formats — quantities are strict per harvest drop. Join the notify list to secure your order.
Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion — The accidental cross discovered on a Pennsylvania Mennonite farm. Ghost pepper slow-build burn with Scorpion onset. 800,000 to 1,100,000 SHU. Fruity, floral, and genuinely complex. Trinidad Scorpion Butch T — Held the Guinness World Record from 2011 to 2013 at 1,463,700 SHU. Dense placental tissue, high oil content, citrus-tropical flavor that survives cooking. A production pepper with documented lineage. Buy fresh Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion peppers in ½ lb or 3 lb boxes — available July 2026, first-come, first-served.
California Reaper — Reaper genetics crossed with Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion. Peach
color at ripeness, sharp citrus sting, 1,200,000 to 1,500,000 SHU. One of
the most visually distinctive pods in the lineup.
Death by Chocolate — Harmony Springs farm original. 7 Pot Douglah x Butch T Scorpion x Carolina Reaper, now in F3 generation. Deep chocolate-forward flavor, million-plus SHU range. Not available anywhere else. Order fresh Death by Chocolate F3 peppers — ½ lb and 3 lb harvest boxes, exclusive to Harmony Springs Farm.
RB003 — Our tracked farm selection. Gnarly twisted pods, violent heat, distinctive flavor profile. One of the most collector-requested varieties we grow. Fresh RB003 peppers for sale in ½ lb and 3 lb formats — quantities are strict per harvest drop. Join the notify list to secure your order.
Availability varies by variety and harvest batch. Our most popular varieties
sell out within days of each drop.
he undisputed OG of the superhot world. It held the world record for 12 years and takes everything you love about a standard habanero—the tropical aroma and bright color—and cranks it up to a legendary "POW!" level. We have grown these for many years and will continue for many more.
Dark, smoky, and dangerously hot; one of our most requested varieties this season.
The authentic Louisiana heavyweight, a staple in our 2026 fresh pepper lineup. We’ve grown these in past years but this year we are expanding.
The one that started it all. Famous for a slow, creeping heat that builds for several minutes. These are very good producers for us, and this will be the first time we are growing them in the high tunnel.
Can’t decide? This is a hand-picked selection of whatever is ripening in our high tunnels right now. It’s the full spectrum of our farm, ranging from floral Ghost notes to the nuclear sting of a Reaper. This is our most popular box; we gather as many varieties as available to give you the widest variety.
A legendary superhot and former world record holder. It’s famous for the "scorpion stinger" tail and a burn that is instant, aggressive, and hits the back of the throat immediately. It's likely our favorite superhot to grow, producing well on very healthy plants.
