Streamco is one of the most vigorous purple osier willows (Salix purpurea) you can grow. It was originally selected for streambank work, which is why it roots so easily and grows so fast. For growers, that means tall, sturdy rods that are ideal for basket frames and ribs, and quick living fences and screens.

FROM OUR BEDS Our second-year Streamco stools put up rods about 10 ft tall, around 12 per stool: some of the tallest in our beds.

GOOD TO KNOW Streamco is so vigorous it can sucker and self-layer, rooting where its stems touch the ground. Give it room and coppice it every winter to keep it in bounds. These are planting cuttings for growing your own willow, not restoration stakes.

PAIRS WELL WITH Vitellina golden willow for living structures, or Holland for tall, straight weaving rods.
