Natural Red is a purple basket willow (Salix purpurea) grown for its color. Basket makers use it to add warm red-orange tones to their weaving without dyes, and it's a staple of the color collections that willow growers put together for weavers.
Hand-cut from our own coppiced stools at Harmony Springs Farm in Blountville, Tennessee.
