Bred in Italy by Rocco Maltesi as a cross between 7 Pot Bubblegum and Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion, this pod earned its nickname from growers online who thought its deeply wrinkled, blistered skin looked just like fried chicken skin. Pods mature to 5-7cm with vivid orange color, rounded shoulders, and a curled scorpion tail. Heat runs 850,000 to over 1,000,000 SHU. Flavor unfolds in three stages: bright citrus up front, floral in the middle, and a sweet, earthy finish from its Bubblegum parentage.
